I arrived very early, pitch black, a thick fog enveloped the whole lake and nearby forests. Knowing the place already, I searched for a new composition trying to figure out it because I did not see the whole scene. «…While i was driving through the beautiful roads of the Lofoten Islands in winter during a beautiful sunset, a very small cave with stalactites caught my attention, so I decided to try a shot from there.
The snow was very thick and getting up there with the equipment was very difficult. Finding a close-up was easy thanks to the magnificent shapes of the ice.
I arrived just in time before the sun disappeared behind the mountains, so as to have a nice warm light that contrasted with the rest of the landscape….»
