«…This photo was taken amongst the quiver trees in the Richtersveld in South Africa. During the day we look for a specific composition amongst the interesting quiver trees and mountains nearby. It was a moonless night with no light pollution because there are no nearby towns. Just after sundown, we did the necessary setup of the cameras, pressed the shutter button and then walked back to camp for supper around the campfire. After supper (after about 90 minutes) I returned to collect the cameras and look at the results. The result – just captured enough light and stars before moonrise…»
